Guidance Counselor / Assistant Principal
Zehra Tahir received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Bombay, India, with specialization in Textiles and Clothing. She is a Wisconsin licensed K-12 school counselor, and received a Master of Science in Education degree in School Counseling from Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2010. Zehra received a second Master of Science in Education degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University of Wisconsin in May 2013. Zehra Tahir is a member of the Advisory Committee of the Wisconsin Schools of Character, and is a strong advocate of shaping lives through character, and integrating Character Education into schools. She is also a Board member of Milwaukee Muslim Women’s Coalition (MMWC), and a former two-term board member of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee (ISM) Executive Board. Zehra envisions Salam School as a model for the nation, where students not only graduate as academic achievers, but also as strong Muslims and beacons of good moral values and excellent character.
